Touring the White House: My Favorite Immersive Experience

Although officially visiting the White House requires citizenship and a security process, this Saturday, I had an experience that made me feel like I'd been inside. I'm talking about the White House Immersive Experience, an interactive, educational, and hilarious tour that immerses you in the history, characters, and most emblematic corners of presidential power.

From the start, I was captivated by interactive screens, hyper-realistic recreations, and the chance to meet up close with those who make it possible: chefs, electricians, security officers, and more.

I even got a couple of recipes from the official White House cookbook!

One of my favorite moments was entering a replica of the Oval Office (according to the Biden administration) and taking selfies in the photo booths. The image is sent directly to your email and is entirely free. You can also simulate state dinners or be part of a presidential council. The whole experience is designed for you to learn, play, and be amazed.

And, of course, the gift shop at the end is a perfect ending. There are products for the whole family and unique details that will make you smile.

This adventure was made possible thanks to Selva Rodríguez, a travel expert who kindly gave me the tickets. If you want to plan a getaway like this or visit unique places in the US, she's your ally: she knows everything!

Living in DC has moments like these that make you say, "Wow, it's worth it."

And when was the last time you were a tourist in your city?
