An Inspiring Walk: My Visit to the Library of Congress

One of the most beautiful things about living in Washington, DC, is that the city invites you to discover, learn, and be moved. And this Saturday, I decided to give myself a moment like that: I went to the Library of Congress for the first time, and I confess it was one of the most inspiring visits I've made since living here.

The first thing I felt was awe. That majestic architecture, the high ceilings, the gilded details, and the elegant silence make you walk slower. I walked among statues, stained-glass windows, and marble staircases, feeling like I was in a movie. I thought about how many brilliant thoughts are stored there, and it made me want to write more, read more, learn more.

Among the things that struck me most were the views of the Capitol, the collection of Thomas Jefferson's books, and the first printed edition of the Bible. And if you're passionate about reading, you can join and get your credential (obviously, I registered for mine), allowing you access to the exclusive reading and study rooms. It's a place that preserves history and makes you a part of it.

If you're in DC and like art, books, and history or need to reconnect with something more profound, the Library of Congress is a must-see. Believe me, there's no better place to dream quietly.
