I would have laughed if someone had told me a few years ago that I would enjoy writing so much. The truth is, I never considered myself a writer. My undergraduate degree was in dentistry, and for a long time, I thought that would be my only path. But with its unexpected twists and turns, life gifted me with a new passion: writing.

It all started in 2020 when the entire world came to a standstill due to the pandemic. Like many people, they spent a lot of time at home, and it was amid that global pause that AndyLife was born, a simple blog where I began sharing homemade recipes. Cooking has always been a way for me to express myself, and at that moment, I felt the need to connect with my loved ones, even through a screen.
What began as a hobby transformed into a beautiful form of communication. One of the things I enjoyed most was creating a mini ebook for Valentine's Day: it included ideas for breakfast, drinks, desserts, and lunches, complete with a shopping list. It was my way of saying, "I'm here; we're still connected, even though we're far apart." Receiving messages from friends and followers who tried the recipes and felt supported was something very special to me.
The funny thing is that I didn't have formal writing studies back then. I just wanted to share what I knew, to write the way I spoke, with love and sincerity. Little by little, I realized that writing was also about healing, building, and creating community.

Today, I am blessed to study communication academically and enjoy every moment. Learning about style, structure, and narrative has been a gift that connects me even more with that first impulse born from home, with a recipe and a story.
Writing found me in a moment of pause and taught me that sometimes, what seems like a simple hobby can become part of your purpose.
And so, with simple letters and a lot of heart, I began this path.
