If I had to choose my favorite project this semester, Andy-Writes. Not only because it has challenged me more than any other but also because it has connected me with parts of myself that had been dormant: creativity, perseverance, and confidence.
One of the things I've liked most about studying this second degree in communications has been its versatility. Throughout the semester, I've developed skills that I used to practice intuitively and very organically—like writing and design—but that I now apply with more professional tools and formats.
From the first week, when we were told to create a website representing us, I knew I didn't want to start from scratch: I wanted to expand what I had already planted in AndyLife. Thus, Andy-Writes was born as a new branch of my brand and a reflection of my evolution.
I built this project with my own hands, with intention and heart. I designed the logo, created a slogan, crafted the visual aesthetic, chose the photographs, wrote every word… and, most importantly, did it in my style without copying other people's formulas. Beyond sounding academic or structured, this process has been a creative, healing, and deeply personal journey.
Andy-Writes is not just a digital portfolio. It's a compilation of who I am today: a migrant woman, an adult, a student, a dreamer… someone who wants to communicate ethically, clearly, and authentically. Many branches converge here: photography as a visual language, design as an expression of identity and writing as a tool for emotional and professional connection.
Writing every day was, unexpectedly, a kind of therapy. It helped me trust myself more. It motivated me to keep going, even when I was exhausted or had doubts. Writing sustained me when words were the only thing I could organize amidst the chaos.
Even though the semester is almost over, I know that Andy-Writes doesn't end here. This space has become an extension of my voice, a platform I want to continue nurturing to connect with others who, like me, are navigating adult life with a thousand challenges ahead: migration, family, college, and dreams.
And that makes it truly valuable.
