Believing, Creating, and Sharing with Intention

One of the things I value most in this new stage of my life—as a migrant, student, content creator, and woman of faith—is the ability to make more conscious decisions. To create from a place of truth, and above all, to share what I believe. And along that path, there's a scripture that always comes back to me like an internal compass: Article 13 of Faith.

"We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men..."

Every time I read this verse, I feel invited to pause and evaluate: What am I consuming? What am I creating? Does what I share have a purpose beyond the algorithm? It's not about living in fear of error or being perfect, but about having intention. About viewing what I do in light of what I believe.

Because yes, in a world where we have unlimited access to information, entertainment, and opinions, choosing the good requires practice and, sometimes, courage. But it's also beautiful. It's like curating the soul: deciding what I want to feed my mind, what I let into my heart, and what I want others to receive when they visit my social media, read my writing, or see my photos

Believing, Creating, and Sharing with Intention

Throughout AndyLife and AndyWrites, my intention has been clear: to create a space where migrant women, like myself, can feel seen, inspired, and supported. Where they can find not just recipes, blogs, or random thoughts, but something that adds value, that lifts them up, that makes them breathe more deeply.

"...If there is anything virtuous, beautiful, reputable, or worthy of praise, we seek these things."

And that last phrase is my favorite. Because it reminds me that we can always look for the good, even in difficult times. That even in the midst of chaos, there are things worth sharing. And if what I create isn't perfect, but it's sincere, helpful, or hopeful, then it's worth it.

Furthermore, knowing how to choose what we consume also directly impacts our mental and emotional health. Because while it's wonderful to be connected and have access to endless information, our minds often don't recognize what's real or fantasy, and it can lead us to very dark places. Sometimes it's unavoidable to learn about the news of today's world and even think about how others' decisions directly affect us. Being diligent about what we see, when we see it, and how we interpret it has become a modern and very honest way of applying this Article of Faith in our daily lives. Setting schedules, educating ourselves about anxiety, or simply giving ourselves permission to disconnect is also part of seeking what is "virtuous, beautiful, and praiseworthy."

Believing, Creating, and Sharing with Intention

So today I leave you with this reflection: when you write a post, choose a Netflix series, share a reel, or respond to someone, ask yourself:

Is this building something good? Does it reflect what I want to see more of in the world?

I'm learning how to do it every day.

And I love knowing I'm not doing it alone. 💛
